Vienna, Austria, 1862

Silver medal of Christ’s baptism in the River Jordan with the Holy Spirit looking on. After a design by Leopold Heuberger (1786–1839). Set in a filigree frame with a pendant loop. Engraved inscription on reverse: “Anton Kluka, 8/1/1863.”

Markings: hallmarks: Austria, Viennese 13/16 lothig mark from 1862; workmaster’s mark apparently “H. S.” (Südfeld, H & Co., est. 1835)
